A Reddit post by user septlbadwy on the Call of Duty: Warzone subreddit suggests that Warzone should borrow Apex’s jumpmaster mechanic, where one player chooses where the squad lands and their teammates automatically follow. This would cut back on random players running off on their own, dying early, and potentially costing players their Warzone match. It should be noted that Warzone already designates a “Squad Leader” at the beginning of matches who could be given this responsibility.

The suggestion has proven popular on the Warzone subreddit, with the post getting over 1,000 upvotes at the time of this writing. However, if Infinity Ward decides against adding anything like that, there could be other ways for players to avoid having to deal with random players making bad decisions.

One of the main ways that Infinity Ward could cut back on random players causing trouble is by allowing more Warzone team size options. At the time of this writing, Warzone only allows for Solo Play and trios. This means players who play with just one other person will always have to deal with a random player on their squad or start a match with one less player than other teams, which automatically puts them at a big disadvantage when compared to their opponents.

While we don’t know if a Warzone jumpmaster option is ever coming to the game, there is evidence to suggest that more Warzone team size options will be coming sooner rather than later. Dataminers have found evidence that Warzone Duos and Quads will be added to the game in future updates; it’s just a matter of when at this point.

It’s possible that these new Warzone team size options could come as soon as the next update. Modern Warfare Season 3 is set to launch on April 8, and it will likely include plenty of new content for Warzone as well, so fans should stay tuned for more details.
