One piece of equipment tends to be a pain to pick up while trying to loot. In a game that focuses on precision and speed, those extra seconds spent trying to pick up one particular item could be the difference between life and death.

On Reddit, one user has voiced the concern of many when it comes to picking up the new, yet infamous armor satchel. The fan points out how frustrating it is to pick up an armor satchel from a corpse. Pistol ammo, weapons, and other gear seem to come easy, but the massive armor satchel just refuses to be locked on.
The armor satchel holds up to eight armor plates proving additional protection on the battlefield. Each player in Warzone has 100 health, but adding armor plates can bring that health up an additional 50 points. The armor satchel allows players to hold eight armor plates as opposed to the standard five, giving players a chance to have more reserve when going against weapons that break armor in Warzone quickly.
It seems a developer decided to make the armor satchel a manual pickup, as opposed to armor plates, which are normally an auto pickup for when players walk over them. It stands to reason that the armor satchel, which increases players carrying capacity of armor plates, should also be an auto pickup. Fans are hoping that this will become the case in Season 4’s upcoming update.
Some fans argue that the need to manually pick up the armor satchel is intentional. The newly added armor box in team play is a manual pickup, so it stands to reason that the armor satchel in solo would be as well. Players will have to stop and grab it rather than just running through as a way to balance how many armor plates can be gathered amidst a gunfight.
If the satchel was an auto pickup, then players could run through, gather the satchel, and armor back up in cover. In the satchel’s current state, players need to stop and grab it, giving away vital seconds of vulnerability to enemy fire.
