Those twists make the game operate like a very long, and very large, match of standard Call of Duty, along with the Gulag and the ability to drop in loadouts. However, it appears that Warzone players are overlooking one major perk that gives them a massive advantage over other players in the game. That perk being Spotter, which allows enemy equipment to be seen through walls.

What makes Spotter so useful is how it can change the stakes, and give players a heads up if they’re walking into a trap. As players approach enemy equipment, it’ll be highlighted in red, even through walls. That’s an immediate sign that someone is there, and can give players an extra advantage when heading into a conflict, or let them know to avoid a building entirely.
Videos of players utilizing the perk have been popping up on Reddit, showing 0ff some of the amazing plays that have been made possible thanks to the red outlines. It also keeps players out of the Gulag, helping them save their chance at an extra life for a different time. Plus, stepping on a bouncing betty is an especially frustrating way to go out, as there’s little players can do to avoid it without Spotter equipped.
For those working on a Warzone loadout, it’s worth giving Spotter a try for a few matches, and if it seems to be doing its job, it’s definitely worth keeping in the rotation. With the sheer number of buildings in Call of Duty: Warzone, players can expect to encounter a mine at least once a match, but Spotter can make that less of a problem.
If anything, it’s worth experimenting with different loadouts in Warzone regularly, as Infinity Ward updates the game pretty regularly. Either way, it’s definitely worth equipping Spotter before diving into the next match.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
