Every Call of Duty Mobile season has introduced new weapons, equipment, cosmetics, and more for players to enjoy. These help fans diversify their weapons and personalize the game making it a special part of the Call of Duty franchise. One new Call of Duty Mobile operator skill is making players stand out even more, allowing fans access to a Katana as a melee ability.

The operator ability was added to the game during the Call of Duty Mobile Days of Summer event. This event brought tons of new skins and content for players to enjoy, including the addition of the Katana to the game. This weapon operates similarly to other operator skills like the Purifier, Tempest, and War Machine. Players can add it to any Call of Duty Mobile class, but before using it they must unlock it by scoring points and kills throughout the match. Although there is a bit of work involved in gaining the Katana, it is worth the effort as fans can simply slice through enemies at fast speeds. Players can embrace their inner samurai, and bring a very big knife to this mobile gunfight.

Unlocking the Katan will require players to complete 10 challenges. Each challenge has a different difficulty ranging from complicated kills to simple match completion. Once a player has completed every challenge they will have full access to the Katana. The complete list of challenges are:

Play 10 Frontline Matches

Occupy Point 10 Times in Hardpoint Matches

Play 8 Domination Matches

Play 10 MP Matches with Friends

Place First of MVP in 4 MP Matches

Play 30 TDM Matches

Kill 5 Enemies with Operator Skills

Play 3 Gulag Gunfight Matches

Cumulative Login for 5 days

Kill 5 Enemies with DR-H in any mode

The challenges are easy enough for some players but there is a timer to how long fans have to complete them. The skill and challenges will only be available until August 7th, so fans have only five days to complete the Days of Summer event and earn their Katana. Keep in mind that the game tracks players progress allowing fans to view their challenges under the Katana Kill challenge name in the event tab.
